Scalpings are produced mostly from green sandstone, crushed down and then screened to remove stone sized over around an inch.
Very easy to work by hand, scalpings make an excellent top surface for roads and tracks – at a price far cheaper than asphalt.
Delivery is usually by bulk tipper.
